So, when I hear this I say " choose Uniden and you'll never make a mistake twice".My newest Uniden cordless phone system works like a dream, and as I expected. I have had friends who have chosen other makes, but have always had problems. BRAVO.[ASIN:B000VF8NEE Uniden DECT 6.0 Cordless Digital Answering System with Caller ID and 2 Extra Handsets and Charging Cradles] I have chosen Uniden cordless phone system for years. The product never let's me down.
They are incompatible with each other. Bad assumption. Read the other reviews too, and don't waste your money on this phone. I've never had a phone that couldn't read the called ID info before, and my disappoint when down from there with this alleged "phone". I actually bought three sets when Target had them on sale at christmas, thinking it would be nice to have interchangeable handsets.
Don't waste your money. Stay clear of these phones. There is a reason why these phones are so cheap.Trust me, DON'T BUY THESE. I'm sticking with Panasonic. I hardly have talked on the phone since I have purchased them. There is ALOT of interference on them.sounds like you're talking in a wind tunnel.
I tried this as a last resort. The low ringer really is low, the answering machine doesn't beep (helps when the baby is sleeping), has good sound quality, and the backlight is great at night. After nine years with a V-Tech, I tried a GE phone with a cool blue backlight, but everytime there was a message, it beeped every 5 seconds. I love it. I highly recommend. I returned it. Then tried a V-Tech, the ringer was way too loud.
The speaker phone works realy well too. This phone is the best. The best part is if I am in the living room or bedroom, I can answer the phone. You can also adjust the volume on the answering machine so if anyone is sleeping, you wont't wake them up. It is so easy to set up so I did not waste alot of time. The answering machine is easy to set up to.
